Capital of the island, the city of Ajaccio is a magnificent seaside resort with obvious charm.Rich in its history, benefiting from a remarkable micro climate, enjoying natural sites and exceptional beaches, the imperial city is a true holiday destination all year round.
The historic center of Ajaccio is rich and colorful.
Lively like all Mediterranean cities, Ajaccio enjoys a typical old town.
The Kalliste hotel is located in the center of this Genoese town, on the famous Cours Napoléon. It will lead you to the citadel district and its old shaded streets.
You can start your visit at the Palais Lantivy, located on the Cours Napoleon, a stone's throw from the hotel.

The Gulf of Ajaccio concludes with an exceptional natural site: the site of the Pointe de la Parata and the Sanguinaires Islands, an archipelago of four rocky islands.
Celebrated by the greatest writers, these islands are accessible from the city center by shuttles from the old port.
The Parata peninsula and its Genoese tower can be visited on foot.
Take the opportunity to discover the different beaches on the route to the Sanguinaires Islands: Marinella beach or Scudo beach. You can also spend a day on the Capo di Feno beach which is home to one of the best known surf spots in South Corsica.
Located 20 minutes from Ajaccio, the seaside resort of Porticcio is a privileged place for walking and relaxation in front of the Gulf of Ajaccio. You can eat there in the various restaurants on the beach of La Viva.
You will also discover Agosta Beach, Ruppione Beach and Stagnola Beach. The beach of Isolella is very popular with diving lovers thanks to its rocky shoals.
Mare e sole beach is a must in this part of the coast. White sand beach, it offers translucent water. Mare e sole beach is ideal if you are staying with children. The sea is sheltered there and allows you to walk very far, and many leisure activities are available there: nautical activities, volleyball court and inflatable water games.
